Frequently Asked Questions | Instruction CPRPlus+ | PNG Training Provider

Courses & Booking

How do I book a course?
Use the Book a Course form to select your course, preferred location and date. For Provide CPR, Provide First Aid and Low Voltage Rescue & CPR you can also book directly from the course page. We confirm availability and send an invoice within 1 business day.
Can I book for a group?
Yes. Enter your total participant count on the booking form and we’ll confirm a date that suits your group. For 6 or more people, onsite delivery at your workplace is usually more cost-effective than individual public course seats.
What is the minimum group size for onsite training?
Onsite training anywhere in Papua New Guinea requires a minimum of 6 participants. We bring all equipment — manikins, AED trainers and course materials — to your site at no extra cost.
Do you offer corporate accounts or invoicing?
Yes. Corporate clients and government agencies can set up invoiced accounts rather than paying per booking. Contact us with your organisation’s procurement requirements and we’ll arrange terms and a standing agreement where appropriate.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes — see our Terms & Conditions for the full cancellation and refund policy. In short: 7 or more days’ notice gets a full refund, 3–6 days gets 50%, and less than 3 days is non-refundable. Rescheduling to another date is usually possible at no charge with reasonable notice.
Are courses available in languages other than English?
Courses are delivered primarily in English with practical demonstration that supports learners across language backgrounds. For onsite group training, trainers can incorporate Tok Pisin explanation where it helps participant understanding — let us know when booking.

Certificates

How long until I receive my certificate?
Certificates are typically issued within 5 business days of successfully completing practical assessment, in line with the issuing RTO’s training and assessment strategy. We’ll let you know if a particular course requires longer.
Are certificates nationally recognised?
Yes. Our HLTAID and UETDRMP courses are nationally recognised units of competency, and our VIC-coded courses (asthma and anaphylaxis management) are accredited courses. Each course’s code is shown on its course page and on your certificate.
My certificate is about to expire — what do I do?
Book a refresher course before your current certificate lapses so there’s no gap in your coverage — many employers require annual renewal of first aid and CPR qualifications. Use the booking form or contact us and we’ll find the next available date.
Can I get a replacement if I lose my certificate?
Yes. Email us your name, course and approximate completion date and we’ll reissue a copy from our training records.
What do the course codes (like HLTAID009) mean?
Each code identifies the exact national unit of competency or accredited course you completed, so employers and other training providers can verify precisely what training you received. See our course catalogue for the full list.

Onsite Training

How far in advance do I need to book onsite training?
We recommend at least 2–3 weeks’ notice for Port Moresby and Lae, and 4–6 weeks for remote or provincial sites to allow for travel and logistics planning. Urgent requests can sometimes be accommodated — contact us directly to check availability.
What equipment do you bring?
We bring all training equipment required for the course — manikins, AED trainers, PPE, LVR rescue equipment and course materials. You only need to provide a suitable training space and, for larger groups, basic facilities like seating and power.
Do you deliver to remote sites in PNG?
Yes. We deliver training anywhere in Papua New Guinea, including mine sites and remote provincial locations, subject to a minimum group size of 6 and agreed travel and accommodation arrangements. Mention your site location when requesting a quote.
Can training be customised to our site procedures?
Yes. Where the course framework allows, we contextualise scenarios, hazards and examples to your workplace — your emergency procedures, equipment and site layout — so training reflects real conditions rather than a generic classroom exercise.

Course Codes & Pricing

Why do your courses show codes like HLTAID009?
The code identifies the exact national unit of competency or accredited course you are completing — for example HLTAID009 is “Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation”. This lets employers and other training providers verify precisely what training and assessment you underwent.
What happens if a course code is updated or superseded?
Issuing bodies periodically update codes — for example our low voltage rescue unit moved from UETDRMP007 to UETDRMP018 in August 2025. We review our course codes regularly and always deliver and certify against the current version.
Do group and corporate bookings get a different price?
Yes. Group and corporate rates are available on request and vary by participant numbers, delivery location, travel and accommodation, equipment requirements and your specific training needs. Request a quote and we’ll put one together for you.
Who do I contact about a course code, certificate or enrolment issue?
Contact Instruction CPRPlus+ directly on +675 7171 0024 or icprplus@gmail.com — we manage enrolment, assessment and certification directly for every course we deliver.
