Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Is this different from Provide First Aid?
Yes. School First Aid (HLTAID012) focuses specifically on infants and children in education and care settings alongside adult first aid — covering age-specific CPR, choking response and common childhood emergencies not covered in the standard Provide First Aid course.
Is this a licensing requirement for schools and childcare centres?
Many education and care services require a minimum number of staff holding current approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications. Check your centre’s specific regulatory requirement, or contact us and we can advise based on your service type.
Do you train on child and infant manikins?
Yes. Practical sessions use dedicated infant and child training manikins alongside adult equipment, so skills are practised at the correct scale for each age group.
How long is the certificate valid?
Renewal is recommended annually or in line with your centre’s policy and any applicable regulatory requirement — talk to us about the right renewal cycle for your service.
Can you train our whole staff team onsite?
Yes, for groups of 6 or more at your school or care centre anywhere in PNG. We bring all training equipment including infant and child manikins.
