DRSABCD — identify and treat life-threatening conditions first.
3
Call for help
Emergency services, workplace first aider or both — do this early.
4
Treat life threats
Control severe bleeding, open airway, start CPR if required.
5
Secondary survey
Head-to-toe check once life threats are stabilised.
6
Ongoing care
Monitor breathing, manage shock, reassure until help arrives.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Does this replace Provide CPR?
Yes. Provide First Aid includes a full CPR component, so holding this covers your CPR requirement.
What does the assessment look like?
A short written knowledge check and a practical demonstration assessed by a qualified trainer. Scenarios are realistic but not designed to trick you.
How long is the certificate valid?
Most workplaces require annual renewal of the CPR component as a condition of employment. We recommend booking a refresher before your current certificate lapses — talk to us about the right renewal cycle for your role.
Can I do this if I have never done first aid?
Yes. The course starts from first principles. Prior CPR experience is helpful but not required.
Is onsite delivery available?
Yes, for groups of 6 or more anywhere in PNG. We bring all equipment including manikins, AED trainers, bandages and scenario props.
